What better way than to kick off Ramadan with a neighbourhood clean up!

The Team at Darul Ummah Goresbrook have made a commitment to increase their volunteering during Ramadan, so what better way than to kick off with a neighbourhood clean up. Litter picking is real community service and it's a superb way to try keep humble and grounded - It's an activity we recommend to everyone! With no real long term strategies in place, litter pickers have taken the bull by the horns and done more than most to highlight our rubbish problem as well as the impact of single use plastic on our environment. For us it's a case of doing what we can to make our spot on the planet a pleasant one. If we can can inspire others to do the same then that's not a bad thing either. The Masjid is a community hub and many establishments want to adopt the same model of engagement within their respective communities. Remember, removing an obstacle from the path is Sadaqa!
